Information regarding SGVTC services is on the home page, under the tab of SGVTC services. The WAP, (Work Activity Program), and SEP, (Supported Employment Program), are described in detail. Each Program has an Intake Coordinator that can provide you with additional information and guide you through the referral process. For Work Activity Program (WAP) contact Ms. Chris Bellhouse at (626) 968-8479 #122 or email: cbellhouse@sgvtc.org For Supported Employment Program, (SEP) contact Ms. Joy Willison at (626) 968-8479 #149 or email: jwillison@sgvtc.org.
Please contact the Intake Coordinator and they can tell you exactly what the protocol is. WAP and SEP have slightly different procedures and to ensure there is no confusion, we recommend contacting each SGVTC intake department for specific instructions. Once you make contact with the intake department, you will be asked to send a referral packet with information regarding the potential client. Also, we will ask the counselor to send a client release form to acquire additional information, if needed.
NOTE: WE DO NOT START CLIENTS UNTIL AN AUTHORIZATION IS IN PLACE.
All SGVTC clients have counselors assigned to them and the counselor will keep you posted on their progress through written reports, direct verbal communication, etc. The assigned counselor will be in charge of any meeting that relates to the clients' program plan and goals.
Each client that starts our program is issued an orientation manual and is given an explanation of the rules of the facility. Our rules are the same as in a school or any other work facility; cell phones need to be shut off during work times, appropriate attire and language, appropriate interaction with staff and co-workers, etc.
