SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICE PROGRAM

We wanted to highlight our Supplemental Service Program that started effectively May 15, 2010.

SGVTC has wanted to develop a program that meets the needs of consumers who are able to do activities but need some assistance with the restrooms.

The Supplemental Service Program consists of one attendant working with six consumers. Attendants work closely with consumers in assisting with their productivity, work tasks and special projects. Consumers must be able to feed themselves. Once accepted consumers are able to work in various programs such as production and computers. The program emphasizes safety, dignity and special attention to consumers needs.

Presently, we have two amazing attendants, Ms. Vickie Medina and Ms. Crystal Trebizo.

Vickie has over 10 years experience working with the developmentally disabled in various capacities including working in a residential facility and is a parent of a special needs child.

Crystal’s background is in the business community and she appreciates given the opportunity to work with developmental disabled. Crystal indicated this is something she always wanted to do.

SGVTC is honored to work with these two dedicated and has positive individuals.
