Lament for a Prom

I can only imagine what my prom would been like.

Perhaps an elegant ballroom

Or the gym made up in

Streamers flowers and lights

The girls would be looking there best

Their dresses the men would pin

a corsage on them.

We would dance the night away,

the king and queen would be announced.

punch would be shared.

You who ever you were, you

would have been the prettiest

one there. Aahh one can only dream.
